Launched in May of 2007, this program is a partnership with the Children's Scholarship Fund (CSF), headquartered in New York City. CSF provides $100,000 and requires a two-to-one match. The $300,000 provides new students with a $2,000 voucher to attend a Catholic elementary school of their choice. The program helped 150 students in 2007-2008. The number of students assisted will increase by 10% each year, allowing new students to enter the program. This means that for the 2008-2009 school year - the second year of this four-year program - 165 students will receive a $2,000 voucher.
Students in grades K-5 are eligible for this program. All vouchers are currently filled.
