 Seeds of Hope Young Philanthropists

The mission of the Seeds of Hope Young Philanthropists is to involve young adults in creating an opportunity for inner-city children to receive a Catholic education. The Young Philanthropists group was created in 2002 by a group of close friends who were passionate about Catholic education. Since then, they have volunteered within the schools by performing school clean ups, assisting as tutors, and building playgrounds at the schools.

The Young Philanthropists strive to raise over $60,000 for Seeds of Hope each year. The funds raised help Seeds of Hope meet the increasing need for tuition assistance. The Young Philanthropists also make it a goal to volunteer within the schools, which saves the schools thousands of dollars each year. They do this by performing group activities such as cleaning the schools in the summer. In addition, the group organizes and hosts Party, Peeps and Poker each year for Seeds of Hope.

School clean-ups

Every summer, we aim to help save the inner-city schools nearly $10,000 in maintenance costs by hosting school clean-ups. The first clean-up happened June 18th at Presentation of Our Lady Catholic School, and the second will take place at Annunciation Catholic School on June 30th. Below are a few scenes from last year's clean-ups:
